I founded ResideMX in 2025 to help others navigate the Mexican residency process. Having successfully obtained my own residency in 2023, I offer firsthand experience and valuable resources.

As a Canadian tech worker in my 40s, I created this project to to merge two of my favourite hobbies, talking about exploring Mexico and utilizing technology to connect people and share ideas.

My love affair with Mexico began in 2022, sparked by a unforgettable stroll along Puerto Vallarta's Malecón. In that moment, I knew this vibrant country was where I belonged. Since then, I've had the privilege of exploring its diverse landscapes, savoring its incredible cuisine, immersing myself in its rich culture, and connecting with its wonderfully welcoming people.

When I was initially searching on how to complete the residency process, some of the information online was outdated or not specific to my location or circumstances, my goal is to provide accurate and concise information in an easy to digest format.
